The grave of Ivo Bligh is
rededicated

The restored grave of one of English cricket's most iconic
figures has been unveiled in Cobham.

Ivo Bligh, later to become the eigth Earl of Darnley, is
synonymous in the game for being the first English captain to take
on the Australians in an Ashes test match in the 1882-3 winter
tour.

A ceremony to rededicate his grave took place at St Mary
Magdalene church in Cobham yesterday.

High-profile guests attending the ceremony include Mr Bligh's
grandson and current Earl of Darnley Adam Bligh and the
Australian High Commissioner John Dauth.
