The A2 closed London-bound after a crane overturned on the road.

The A2 was closed London-bound after a crane overturned on the road.

The crane fell on the west-bound carriageway at the exit for the A2260 at Ebbsfleet just before 4pm.

Emergency services were called and Highways England warned the carriageway "will be closed for a while".

It reopened just before 7pm.
