It was a magical night for the firm that turned Gravesend Town Pier into a popular attraction after being named Dartford and Gravesham Business of the Year.
Benning Brothers, based in Meopham, landed the £1,000 top prize and engraved glass trophy at a gala dinner in the Hilton Dartford Bridge.

Staff were delighted when their employer’s name was announced at the climax to the 2011 Dartford and Gravesham Business Awards. Entertainment was provided by magician Etienne Pradier who thrilled with stunning tricks.
Quay Assessment Training was named Dartford Business of the Year, while Allpark, a manufacturer and designer of car park equipment, was Gravesham Business of the Year. They each won £500.
