Shoelaces clue in arson probe

POLICE are keen to trace a teenager who wears distinctively coloured shoelaces in his trainers as he may be able to help with enquiries about an arson incident.

A stack of wooden and plastic supermarket pallets was set alight outside LIDL supermarket in Shellons Street, Folkestone, at about 2.10pm on Monday, December 18.

Police media spokesman Jon Green said: "We know that three male youths aged in their early to mid teens were seen nearby.

"One of them, is described as slim, 5ft 9in tall, and was wearing a black hooded top, black trousers and black trainers with one bright orange lace and one bright green."

Anyone who knows the identity of these youths is asked to contact PC Gary Marshall on 01303 850055.Alternatively, if you don’t want to give your name, call Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You could be eligible for a reward.
