Helicopter lands in Radnor Park, Folkestone

The air ambulance was called for a man in Folkestone with suspected head injuries.

Police were called to Cheriton Road this afternoon following reports of that a man in a flat had been hurt.

He had suffered head injuries, although it is not yet known how he got them.

The air ambulance landed in Radnor Park, off Radnor Park Road, just after 1pm.

The helicopter was filmed taking off by Peter Collins, who posted it on Twitter.

A spokesman for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance said: "At 1.04pm, the air ambulance was called to a medical emergency in Folkestone and landed in a nearby park.

"An adult male sustained a head injury and was treated at scene by the helicopter’s doctor and paramedic who assisted a SECAmb crew.

"The patient was taken by land ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford. Police also attended the scene."
