Firework blasts wreck phone boxes

POLICE are investigating after two phone boxes were blown up by industrial-strength fireworks.

The attacks on the kiosks in Military Road, Sandgate, near Folkestone, and St Leonards Road in Hythe, took place last night within an hour of each other at 9.15pm and 10.10pm.

The box in Sandgate box was so badly damaged it has had to be removed. The box in Hythe had its door blown off by the blast.
