Dover v Ramsgate

Dover bid to extend their four-point lead at the top of the Ryman League Premier Division at home to Ramsgate tonight.

Andy Hessenthaler's side achieved their seventh straight win 1-0 at Hastings on Saturday but at a heavy cost.

Centre-half Craig Cloke was carried off with suspected cruciate knee ligament damage while midfielder Jon Wallis suffered a pulled hamstring.

Fortunately for Hessethaler, he has plenty of defensive cover after signing Ollie Schulz and Dean Hill from Ramsgate during the summer, along with winger Sam Jones.

He said: "The fact we have pinched a few of Ramsgate's players should add a bit of spice to the game!"

Midfielder Sammy Moore could make his return for Whites after missing three matches with a gashed mouth.

Ramsgate manager Jim Ward has to decide whether to play loan-signing Jay May from the start.

The 22-year striker has joined from Bromley, with a view to a permanent signing as cover for suspended Aaron Firth.

Dartford-born May, younger brother of former Millwall and Brentford striker Ben, now at Scunthorpe, came off the bench against Staines at the weekend, and set-up the equaliser for top scorer Mo Takaloo, and almost snatched a stoppage time winner.

He moved to Hayes Lane in June after helping his home town club clinch the Division 1 North title. He also had a spell at Tonbridge Angels, helping them win promotion two years ago.

Former Herne Bay striker Firth faces a three match lay-off, after being sent off against Horsham a fortnight ago.
