Dover Athletic manager Chris Kinnear braced for busy spell starting with FA Cup replay against Cambridge United

Chris Kinnear plans to take it a step at a time as Dover prepare for a frantic week which kicks off with the televised FA Cup replay against Cambridge United at Crabble on Thursday night.

The first round replay (7.45pm) will be screened live on BT Sport with the incentive of a home tie against former winners Coventry City in round two on Sunday, December 4 – another match picked for TV coverage.

Kinnear faces the challenge of preparing teams for Cambridge as well as the National League visit of Guiseley on Saturday (3pm) and then Woking on Tuesday (7.45pm) and he said: “It’s going to be frantic.

“I do think the games are too close. It’s less than 48 hours between the games – Jurgen Klopp moans when it’s less than 72 hours.

“We trained on Monday this week to give them a bit of time off to prepare them for what is to come.”

Kinnear added: “It’s not going to be easy. Cambridge are decent, they had a good 3-1 win (over Crawley on Saturday) and look like they have got themselves together.”

Sammy Moore (cup-tied) and ineligible Joe Healy miss the Cambridge game but are available for the visit of Guiseley on Saturday, while Jack Parkinson will serve his suspension for his red card at Solihull Moors at the weekend against Cambridge.
