THE high winds that battered the county yesterday wrecked a tennis dome in a Kent town.

The courts at the centre in Deal's Victoria Park had already been closed due to the bad weather, but strong gusts ripped the surface and it looks likely the structure is beyond repair.

Dover District Council owns the tennis centre and is expected to make a decision about its future within the week.
