Nominations needed to help Deal Goodwin Academy teacher Kirsty Gaythwaite win Pearson National Teaching Award

A teacher needs the support of pupils and parents in her bid to win the Pearson National Teaching Award for Outstanding New Teacher of the Year.

Selected from thousands of nominations, Kirsty Gaythwaite of Goodwin Academy in Deal is one of 87 teachers, lecturers and school staff who have been entered for the prestigious Pearson National Teaching Awards.

Miss Gaythwaite, a maths teacher, is nominated to win a silver award, and could go on to win one of 14 gold awards.

To support the judging process of her nomination in the Outstanding New Teacher of the Year category, the Hamilton Road Academy wants testimonials written by past and present students, staff and parents.
