Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled an oven fire at a shop in London Road in Dover.

They were called to a take-away restaurant just after 3.30pm. The restaurant was heavily smoke-logged caused by damp charcoal, but a spokesman for the fire service said there was not a fire.

Traffic was held up in the main street as the crews from three fire appliances dealt with the incident.

No-one was injured.
