Charlton's Maidstone-born midfielder Scott Wagstaff has been loaned to League 2 side Bournemouth for a month.

Wagstaff, 18, the Addicks' Young Player of the Year, trained with his new-team-mates on Monday.

He made his League debut for Charlton as a second-half substitute at Barnsley in April just after signing his first professional contract.

He said: "Alan Pardew wanted me to go out and get some experience on loan. I want to play regularly because the more I play the better I'll get."

Wagstaff is expected to make his Bournemouth debut at home to Exeter on Saturday.
