Traffic starts to clear after crash on M25 clockwise near Dartford Crossing

Traffic is starting to move on the M25 following a serious crash between a car and a van.

Queues built up on the QE2 bridge at the Dartford Crossing for people heading towards Kent, following the crash on the south-bound carriageway between junction 1A and 1B.

The right-hand tunnel of the crossing was closed due to the incident, but has now reopened as the vehicles have been moved to a safe location.

Delays remain on approach to the tunnel on the london-bound carriageway, with queues as back as far as junction 2 on the London-bound side, which is leading to knock-on effects for the A2 London-Bound.

Traffic is still stretched back for five miles on the southbound carriageway, to Junction 30 for the A13 at Low Well Wood in Essex.
