Man in court after teenager Denzel Njemo stabbed in Dartford

A teenager was stabbed and fatally injured in an altercation, a court has heard.

Denzel Njemo, 18, was found dead after police were called to Suffolk Road in Dartford, at around 9pm on Friday April 14, and a 19-year-old man from London was arrested the next day.

Chris Enaruba, of Beaconsfield Road, Greater London, today appeared via video link in a crown court preliminary hearing, held at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court in front of Judge Julian Smith, after being charged with murder.

Prosecutor Philip Bennetts outlined the case against the defendant, stating that he was arrested on April 15.

He said a large amount of what occurred had been captured on CCTV, and there were two eye witnesses.

The judge outlined some further evidence in the case, stating two knives had been recovered including a “Rambo type knife.”

Enaruba was remanded in custody and a trial date was listed at Maidstone Crown Court for October 2.
