Migrants reportedly spotted exiting a lorry near Prospect Place retail park in Dartford

Up to a dozen suspected migrants have reportedly been spotted climbing out of a lorry near a retail park in Dartford.

One witness said he saw 12 migrants exit the vehicle outside a Costa Coffee shop in the Prospect Place retail park at around 2.10pm this afternoon.

A spokesman for Kent Police confirmed they had been called to the scene and carried out a search of the area, but the men were not located.

"Kent Police was called to reports that a number of suspected migrants had exited the back of a lorry in the Westgate Road area of Dartford, at about 2.10pm on Friday 3 June," they said.

"Officers attended and carried out a search of the local area but the men were not located."
