A SLIP road on the M25 in Kent was closed after a lorry went up in flames.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at junction 1B on the clockwise carriageway - the Prince's Road interchange, near Dartford - at around 3.30pm yesterday.

The driver of the HGV managed to escape from the vehicle unhurt.

One lane at the exit slip will remain closed today. It will be repaired overnight tonight after suffering fire damage.
