Dartford manager Tony Burman was a happy man after seeing his side record back-to-back 4-1 away wins.

The Darts were victorious by the same scoreline at Aveley on Saturday and Ashford (Middlesex) on Tuesday in the Ryman League Premier Division.

Burman said: “We showed we are not easing up and that we have a good squad because we were missing six or seven injured.

“I was pleased with the results, we have had two difficult games away from home but showed the right commitment and desire.

“It is a fantastic start and to be so far in front of some good teams in our division is fantastic. But those teams will go on runs and pick up points and will be there or thereabouts.”

Darts welcome Ryman League Division 1 South strugglers Chipstead to Princes Park in the FA Trophy second qualifying round on Saturday and Burman is set to rotate his squad.

Jamie Day is likely to return and Adam Flanagan is available after missing Tuesday through suspension but will face a three-game ban next month after being sent-off on Saturday.

Elliot Bradbrook will miss up to two months after sustaining ankle ligament damage at Aveley.

Burman said: “The specialist said it is not broken as we had first thought but Elliot will be in plaster for three weeks and it could be two months before we get him back.”
