Dartford 3 Bishop's Stortford 0

Dartford secured their first win of the Blue Square Bet South season with a 3-0 victory against Bishop’s Stortford at Princes Park on Tuesday night.

Boss Tony Burman was missing Elliot Bradbrook and James White but Tom Champion and Charlie Sheringham (pictured) returned with the former Crystal Palace striker putting in a good display against another of his former sides.

The hosts went a goal up inside 20 minutes when a long throw from Billy Burgess was flicked on by Lee Burns into the path of Danny Harris who slotted home.

However, just moments later, the Darts were indebted to a superb save from Andy Young from a Stortford spot-kick after Paul Goodacre fouled in the box.

Shortly before the break, Ryan Hayes exchanged passes with Sheringham and he got his head on the end of a cross from Hayes to nod home.

Carl Rook replaced Burns after the break and it was the former Tonbridge man who rounded off the scoring when he prodded home from close range.
