A COUNCIL leader has been questioned by police in connection with suspected computer-related crime.

Kenneith Leadbeater, the 50-year-old Conservative leader of Dartfoerd council, has not been arrested or charged in connection with any offences.

Cllr Leadbeater attended a police station voluntarily, where he was interviewed in connection with the investigations.

Officers arrived at Cllr Leadbeater's home in Sutton-at-Hone, near Dartford, on Monday. He is now on holiday overseas.

The Dartford Messenger managed to contact Cllr Leadbeater on Tuesday. He said "I am overseas and can't comment."

Council officials expect him back at the Civic Centre on Monday.
