Appeal to find owners of stolen keys and jewellery found near Swanley

Police are appealing to find the owners of stolen keys and jewellery found in car after a pursuit near Swanley.

Officers in an unmarked police vehicle attempted to stop a Renault Clio in Birchwood Road, Dartford, at around 8.50pm on Monday May 13.

Police say the patrol car used blue lights and a siren to request the driver to stop, however it drove off in the direction of Swanley.

It was eventually brought to a controlled stop just outside the town and a 19-year-old man and 18-year-old woman, both from Orpington, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a vehicle.

Both suspects were later released pending further investigation.

Items found in the car were linked to burglary offences, and police are appealing to anyone who may recognise the items to contact them, as they may have important information which can assist the investigation.
