Evening rush hour traffic suffered severe delays after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a smash.
Police closed off the coastbound carriageway of the A2 at Dartford this afternoon following the collision at around 4.30pm.
The arterial road was shut off between Dartford, at the junction with the A2018, and the M25 turn-off.
The crash was said to have involved a motorcyclist, who suffered life-threatening injuries.
The incident comes after a series of smashes around the M2 in Kent earlier in the day.
