TWO Kent boys have been selected to represent England Under-16s against Ireland in Dublin from February 12-15.

Ross Gilham-Jones and Diccon Stubbings, who both play for Canterbury, will be hoping to perform well enough to be selected for a tournament in Holland over Easter and the European Championships in the Hague next summer.

Both boys were spotted by the England selectors last October at national regional finals and were invited to training camps and trials in November.

Forward Gilham-Jones is from Hythe and goes to the Harvey Grammar School in Folkestone, while goalkeeper Stubbings, from Canterbury, attends Kent College in the city.
