Canterbury recorded their third straight win in National League 3 South with an impressive 32-20 victory away to Rugby Lions.

South African full-back Gert de Kock caught the eye by helping himself to 22 points, but it was a real team performance as the visitors collected four tries and their first bonus point of the campaign

De Kock set the ball rolling with a penalty and then converted his own try as Canterbury opened up a 10-0 lead after 11 minutes.

Skipper Chris Hinkins claimed the second try, converted by de Kock and, after kicking his second penalty of the afternoon, de Kock went over for another try, which he again converted to make it 27-7 at the break.

Cantebury then lost fly-half Dave Marshall to injury but James Birnage proved a more than capable replacement and they wrapped up the points when wing Carlton Littlechild ran onto de Kock's flat pass to go over. The conversion was the one kick de Kock missed all afternoon.

Westcombe Park scored six tries on their way to a 40-33 away win at Waterloo in National League 2.

Tyron Child helped himself to a trio of those tries, with the first two and the last. Also scoring were Darryn Bruce, Tom Hayman and Phil Chesters.
