ANIMAL lovers throughout the county are being asked to get involved in a special project.

Seven gorillas born in captivity here, and hand-reared after being rejected by their mothers, are taking part in a pioneering venture by living a life of freedom in Africa.

But the primates, handreared at Howletts Wild Animal Park near Canterbury, need your money to help them live in the Bateke Plateau National Park in Gabon.

The Kent Messenger Group has joined with The John Aspinall Foundation in the hope people across the county will become part of world-first for conservation.
