Whitstable Town slumped to the bottom of Ryman League Division 1 South after a 5-0 humbling at Worthing on Saturday.

Dave Cory went close to giving Mark Munday's, pictured, side the lead inside three minutes but failed to beat the keeper from close range and the home side were infront before half-time after some hesitant defending.

It was 2-0 just three minutes after the restart when Clint Gooding conceded a free-kick which was despatched past Dylan McVicar in the Oystermen's goal.

Another free-kick made it 3-0 10 minutes later and it was 4-0 with more than 20 minutes left, with Stuart Vahid's, pictured, cross-shot the closest the visitors came to pulling one back.

Late-on McVicar was shown a straight red card after bringing down a Worthing striker in the box. Jake Gess took over in goal and was agonisingly close to stopping the spotkick, but the 5-0 defeat saw Town overtaken by bottom side Chipstead.
