Woman cut free after three cars and a bus block road

The road between Canterbury and Whitstable was closed on Friday morning (September 4) when three cars were involved in an accident on Pean Hill. No one was seriously hurt.

Police were called at about 11am after a Peugeot, Toyota and Jaguar were in collision, blocking the road.

The woman driver of the Jaguar was cut free from the car by fire-fighters from Canterbury and the male driver of the Peugeot was helped from his vehicle.

A double-decker bus which arrived on the scene just minutes after the accident tried to do a three-point turn and grounded his vehicle.

Another bus was called to take the 15 passengers away.

The road was reopened at 1.30pm. Firefighters also dealt with a fuel spillage.
