Kent Highways warned drivers to expect delays and avoid the area.

The smashed up vehicles have since been moved to the side of the road and police have re-opened it to traffic.

Kent Police spokesman Jon Green says: "Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.

"SECAmb called Kent Police at 11.30am. The road was closed at the junction with Farleigh Road and Vauxhall Road for a short while. It was all clear by 12.18 pm."

It follows a two-car crash in the same road yesterday afternoon.
