“Nasty” Nick Bateman returned to the Big Brother house on Tuesday night as the popular Channel 4 reality show began its finale.
The Wickhambreaux resident and broadcaster was famously evicted from the first series in 2000, when he tried to influence nominations. He was the final ex-housemate to enter the house for Ultimate Big Brother, which features former contestants and celebrities from the last 10 years of the show. He will spend the next two-and-a-half weeks with the likes of Ulrika Jonsson, racing pundit John McCririck and US rapper Coolio.
Nick, 42, was greeted by a crescendo of boos from the crowd as he made his way up the steps into house and wore a t-shirt with the slogan “it’s only a gameshow”.
He promised host Davina McCall he would abide by the rules this time.
Earlier in the evening, Bristol ad rep Josie Gibson was crowned the final Big Brother winner. The 25-year-old was then invited to return to the house with her new housemates for the climax of the show.
