Men attacked by gang in Canterbury near Whitefriars Street and St George’s Street

Two men needed hospital treatment after they were attacked by a gang of youths.

Police say an altercation broke out at the junction of St George’s Street and Whitefriars Street in Canterbury on Sunday shortly after 7pm.

A spokesman for the force said: “Two men were reportedly assaulted by a group of teenage boys and required hospital treatment for injuries.”

Detectives from East Kent Criminal Investigation Department are investigating and urge anyone who saw what happened to call police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/117736/23.
