The winner of kmfm’s Countdown To Meltdown competition is Kathleen Mann, from Sandwich.

Kathleen is pictured being presented with £1,000 of vouchers to use at Canterbury’s Whitefriars shopping centre by the centre’s manager Peter Scutt.

She was the closest to guessing how long an 18 stone block of ice, measuring 500cm wide and a metre high, would take to melt in the centre’s Marlowe Arcade.

A total of 218 people entered the competition and Kathleen’s guess was just 14 seconds under the final time of 46 hours and 50 minutes.
