NEW owners of a Chartham Hatch hotel held a harvest market on Saturday.

The event at Howfield Manor focused on local produce, something its new owners are keen to continue when the hotel re-opens next month after a two year absence.

Manager David Sharma insists sourcing food from the immediate area is a must.

He said: “The market was a great success and we are aiming to use food from within 20 miles."

Howfield Manor will have 15 bedrooms and a restaurant open to non-guests.
