A gang of youths have launched an unprovoked attack on three foreign students in Canterbury.

The Austrians, two aged 17 and the other 16, were set upon by a group of between 15 and 20 youths in the Woodside Road area of Sturry where they are staying with host families.

The victims were shouted at and then chased by the boys, some of who were armed with pieces of wood.

Their injuries did not need hospital treatment.

Anyone who saw the attack, which happened about 9.30pm last Thursday (April 7) should call investigating officer PC Andy Dunsdon on 01622 690690 reference 5421.
