TWO Canterbury councillors have teamed up to launch a campaign to stop the stench created by the Sturry Road sewage works.

Deputy Council Leader Cllr Ron Pepper and Cllr Fred Whitemore say that case law now exists that empowers the council to force Southern Water to stop the smell.
