BABY Angelica Young captured the attention of photographic competition judges – and at the tender age of six months became a calendar girl.

Her mother Charlotte, of Durlock Road, Ash, near Canterbury, entered her daughter in a national contest, Metanium Moments, run by a nappy rash company.

Angelica was selected as one of 12 winners from more than 10,000 entries.

Charlotte had taken the whimsical shot of Angelica as she sat on her knee after a bath – clearly not in need of the company product!

Baby Angelica, who is now a bonny 17 months old, has been chosen for June, and Charlotte and husband Tim have stocked up with lots of copies of the calendar for relatives at Christmas.

Charlotte, who works for Shepherd Neame in Faversham, says proudly that Angelica certainly lives up to her name. “She’s an absolute gem and really laid-back,” she said.
