Man arrested after indecent exposure incident on Whitehall Bridge Road in Canterbury

A man flashed a woman while she was walking down a residential street this morning.

Officers were called to Whitehall Bridge Road in Canterbury at just before 8 am on Monday, July 24, after reports came in of a man having indecently exposed himself to a pedestrian.

Police later arrested a young man, who was taken into custody while investigations continue.

A police spokesperson said: “An arrest has been made as detectives investigate a report of indecent exposure in Canterbury.

“Kent Police was called at around 7.50am on Monday 24 July 2023, after a man indecently exposed himself to a woman as she walked in Whitehall Bridge Road.

“Officers attended and following enquiries at the scene, arrested a 24-year-old man of no fixed address.”

Police are calling for anyone who saw the incident or has private CCTV or dashcam footage taken in the area between 7.30 am and 8.30 am on Monday 24 July to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/131894/23.
