Located on Canterbury High Street, the wok bar has taken over the site that was formerly occupied by accessories retailer Claire’s.

Specialising in pan-Asian noodle dishes, which are served by a choose-as-you-go bar, the restaurant says its most popular flavours are Chicken Katsu Curry and Caramel Drizzle Chicken.

To celebrate the opening, Chopstix was giving away 100 medium noodle boxes to its first customers.

You could also enjoy one of the 1000 five-piece portions of vegetable spring rolls that were being handed out if you claimed a voucher through a link on their website.

Visitors to the existing Maidstone, Hythe or Chatham sites will have noticed the chain's striking décor, which nods towards it's Asian inspiration with neon signs and Manga inspired decals as well as the eye-catching ‘living wall’ of foliage.

The city already boasts a range of well-liked Asian cuisine options including; fellow chain Wagamamas as well as independent’s such as Tamago and Mister Miyagi’s Sushi.

Referring to themselves as a ‘wok and go’ establishment, Chopstix brings a more fast-food budget-friendly style option to those seeking an Asian meal in Canterbury.

In the coming months another popular fast food eatery is set to launch in the city – Taco Bell is opening at two locations, one on the high street and another in Sturry.

Chopstix has said this is just the latest in a line of planned outlets that will be announced in the coming months.

The restaurant will also be offering takeaway on delivery apps such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
