Thieves have stolen three solar-powered lights from a
partially sighted woman.
Chérie Hamlet-Smith, 73, and her husband Alan, 76, discovered
the lights missing from their home in Willesborough Lees last week
and put up a sign hoping to make whoever stole them feel
guilty.
Mrs Hamlet-Smith, of Silver Hill Road, said: “The lights give me
a guide but I’ve only got to miss it by a little bit and I’m in big
trouble. We’ve put more lights out everywhere because it really
gives me the confidence.”
