A branch of Caffe Nero is closed due to staff shortages, it has been confirmed.
The town centre site in Ashford shut on Friday without warning.
A sign on the door said the store was closed due to "circumstances beyond our control"
"We hope to make your favourite drink at our nearest Caffe Nero neighbours at the Ashford Designer Outlet," it read.
Today, a spokesman for the coffee chain confirmed the New Rents shop was closed due to low staff numbers.
"It was both due to an ongoing staff shortage and an amount of staff training," he explained.
"We were left with the choice of having both the Designer Outlet and the high street store with too few people, or closing one store and keeping the other going in the meantime.
"As the Designer Outlet store is larger and has a lot more footfall, it was logical to keep that one open and so we had to make the choice to close the shop in New Rents.
"We apologise for the inconvenience that this caused but I'm happy to say we are now in a position to reopen tomorrow."
