One person hurt after seven-car crash in Ashford

Seven cars were involved in a mass crash - yet only one person was slightly injured.

The accident happened at Monument Way, Sevington, near the entrance to Ashford Market at midday on Sunday.

One man received a minor injury to his leg and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

South Kent Police say nobody else was injured and the cause of the collision is not known.

The cars involved were a red Vauxhall Corsan, a blue Fiat, a silver Vauxhall Corsa, a black Renault 5, a blue Nissan Micra, a green Renault Clio, a grey Ford Mondeo and a blue Mitsubishi.

No serious damage was caused to any of the cars.
