Folkestone Invicta are aiming to guarantee themselves a play-off place this weekend.

And boss Neil Cugley is to receive a timely boost as a number of players return ahead of their home match with Sittingbourne.

Cugley hopes to have Roland Edge back – just weeks after he left the club – while leading scorer Stuart King returns from suspension, as does Micheal Everitt.

Cugley said: "We could be stronger now than at any time all year and we have just got to make sure the results show that.

"It’s nice to have so many players available and it’s not something I’ve really had at Folkestone before.

"We will have some good competition for places."

Edge was understood to have left due to financial constraints but Cugley is hoping talks between the directors and the player can resolve any outstanding issues.

"He was messed around a bit but I’m hoping things can get resolved and he can get involved with us again for the last few games," said Cugley.

Invicta have just two more games to go of their regular Ryman League, Division 1 South season and a win at the weekend will all but cement their place in the end-of-season play-offs.
