Lane of M20 blocked and 5 mile queues after lorry and car crash between junctions 9 and 8

A crash between a lorry and car is causing five-mile queues on the M20.

The incident which occurred on the London bound lane between J9 (for Ashford) and Junction 8 (for Leeds Castle), the stretch which is currently marred by heavy roadworks.

Following the crash at 11.49am, one of the two lanes was blocked causing an extensive backlog.

Despite all lanes now being re-opened, travel time is expected to be increased by 30 minutes.
