Fire officers called to blaze

by Tim Collins

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the village of Stanford last night to tackle a vehicle fire.

Firefighters from Folkestone’s Green Watch were called to the deal with the incident just after 11pm.

An abandoned black Vauxhall Astra was almost completely burnt out by the time they arrived.

Crew Manager Nick Burgess could not say if any accelerant had been used.

Police attend the scene.
