Around 300 cannabis plants seized in cultivation in Appledore, Ashford

More than 300 cannabis plants have been discovered at cultivation near Ashford.

Police found them on Friday morning after a warrant under the misuse of drugs act was carried out at an outbuilding in Appledore.

The plants that were found in concealed rooms were seized and horticultural equipment was dismantled.

A 52-year-old man from Tenterden was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and has since been released on police bail until February 25 while enquiries continue.
